Why am I writing this?

Aside from the web 2.0 vanity many of us (including me, I hate to admit) are suffering from, this site is intended as a window into some of my fleeting and more persistent thoughts, as well as being a place to share things I find interesting.

The harder question for me to answer is “Who is this for?”

Selfishly, it’s just for me. As a marketer by trade, I’m paradoxically uninterested in visitor stats and bounce rates to this site.

This is, in theory, a personal space where I can record my thoughts as life progresses. So in the future my Great Grandchildren can look back and laugh at what a pompous, naive twat the old git was back in the early 21st century.

However, by luck or coincidence, you may find some of the articles or finds interesting or maybe even challenging. And for that dear reader, I am grateful.

So, for those of you who’ve read this far, here’s a quick, vain, self indulgent summary of “me” to get you started around here…

I live in Essex, UK and have a background in Internet Marketing, Physics, Small Business, Psychology, Metaphysics, Plumbing and Heating. I’m an amateur at all the above with the exceptions of Internet Marketing and Plumbing.

So with this in mind, please don’t pay much attention to anything I discuss, and *please* don’t take anything I say seriously.

I may delve into the wildly politically incorrect, flamboyantly flout and/or mock positions of authority and “thought leaders”, and if I’m up to it, challenge your (and my) perception of reality just a little bit (As well as boring, disappointing or just simply irritating you into the bargain).

But it’s my blog and I don’t care.

You have been warned.

If you’d like to add your thoughts and perceptions to the posts, please feel free. I do moderate comments so spam or insults won’t get through (unless of course the insults are particularly witty, eloquent or surreal).
